The represented case is showing the handling of the concrete surface, which has usually by handling so called “lunkers”, local segregations, somewhere also brown spots from the to shallow laid armature. In that kind of case we recommend the following procedure of handling:

Restoration of concrete
  • washing and mechanical removal of segregation nests and concrete around the to shallow laid armature until the quality surface
  • cleaning of visible armature till metal splendor with wired brush and protection of armature with  BETONPROTEKT K – put on 2 times with brush
  • re-profile of concrete at the spot of damage with  BETONPROTEKT RT na on the previous every time made fresh binding layer with KEMACRYL: diluted with water in proportion 1:1
Quoted materials are in detail showed in the catalogue Restoration/protection/sealing of concrete and buildings.

The process of leveling
  • washing or cleaning the surface to remove the unstable pieces and leftovers from paneling oils; in the case of very smooth surface we recommend sanding
  • making the leveled concrete surface with KEMAGLET G – ready to use polymer cement leveling compound for walls and ceilings; leveling is made along pre-layer of surface with polymer dispersion KEMACRYL, diluted with water in proportion 1:1 by the procedure »fresh to fresh«.
  • final fine leveling of surface with fine gypsum leveling compound KEMAGLET FX; usually it gets made in two layers of thickness 1 -2 mm, where the second layer is finally smoothen (it is possible to use machine grinding for the surface)
