The represented case is showing the making of warm-isolating thin-layer façade, which has the basic function of warmth and sonorous protection of the building. As warm-isolating boards are in this concrete case showed the foreseen boards from expanded polystyrene (stiropor), extruded polystyrene and other isolating boards for making the contact thin-layer façade (for example as lamellas from stone wool). Thin-layer façade means to get across the isolating boards a thin layer of adhesive mortar, and put in a plasticize reinforced plaster with glass net. The second layer of adhesive mortar covers the reinforced plaster and gives the façade the final hardiness. By choosing the final layer we assure the final look of the facade (colour, granulation,…) and the characteristics (steam-tight, waterproof). The thickness of layers above the warmth isolation is ca. from 5 to 10 mm.
The process:
- cleaning and preparing the surface; removal of all unstable pieces
- on the isolation boards we put on along the edges adhesive mortar KEMATERM 230 in an uninterrupted line, and additional at the middle of the board at 4-6 places by spots or in lines, and stick them together on the surface tightly one to another by the rule of brick connection; for improvement of adhesion on surface we ground if necessary with polymer dispersion KEMACRYL, diluted with water in proportion 1:1. (in the case of lamella from stone wool we put on adhesive mortar on the hole surface)
- depending on the surface and pretentiousness of the building or the weight of isolating boards, we make an additional fixation of boards with 6-8 of sidro by m2; all of the corners and edges around the windows and doors we reinforce with special corners, and the corners around the windows and doors we additionally reinforced with ribbons from plaster with glass net
- as a basic layer we put on the boards the adhesive mortar KEMATERM 230, in which we put on reinforced plaster with glass net
- after ca. 2-3 days we put on the second layer of adhesive mortar KEMATERM 230, which we, in the case or thick-layer scraped final plaster slightly furrow, and in the case of thin-layer fine decorative plaster or colour we smooth up as much as we can.
- ca. 2 -3 days of drying are following and building in of chosen final plaster.
