The pool constructions are usually made of so-called waterproof concrete. Because of the demanding building in of concrete, demanding work and dilatation connections, of filling up the holes of paneling after the panels have been removed and because the begin of cracks after the shrinking of concrete, the idea of waterproof ness of whole concrete construction is often questionable. To avoid the risk of sealing we recommend so-called alternative sealing of concrete surfaces with polymer-concrete waterproof compounds. Sealing is made on leveled surfaces where we use leveling compound BETONPROTEKT RT for leveling the vertical surfaces and BETONPROTEKT RP for leveling horizontal surfaces. In the case of pool constructions we use for sealing flexible polymer concrete waterproof compound HIDROSTOP ELASTIK. Layer is reinforced with plaster with glass net. At the spots of working connections we build in KEMABAND sealing ribbons and on only that way prepared surfaces we can start with laying of pool ceramics. For that we use flexible concrete adhesives as KEMAKOL FLEX 170, KEMAKOL PLAST 190 or KEMAKOL RAPID 193. For grouting of surfaces we use concrete grouting compound FULL, at the decanting edges and in the case of thermal waters we use epoxy grouting compound KEMAPOX LF. We seal dilatations with permanently elastic mastics KEMAFLEX MS.
