1954 - The local people's board of Murska Sobota guaranteed the further existence of separation unit. The local people's board of Murska Sobota, which was troubled by difficulties typical of an underdeveloped region, showed the interest for purchasing the total fixed assets of the separation unit to ensure the further existence and development of the unit. Contract was concluded on 25 August 1954 and it was estimated at 30 million of then Yugoslav dinars.
1960 - Accelerated development of company. Radical, accelerating and planning they began with geological researches, with goal to strengthen the base of raw material. At the other side the research of the market expanded the intention and usefulness of sands. The accelerated development of company was happening with 20% increased production. The company has with time gathered knowledge and experiences on the field of that kind of production. The produced quantities of quartz sands were getting interesting for the sale and also for the market and with that the company grows at the business level.
After the year 1970 - The production and selling boost. Big production and selling boost happened after the year 1970 when the long year development plans were put into force. Separation unit was technically upgraded and the company introduced new products and special building materials based on quartz sand.
1990 - The beginning of independent company KEMA Puconci p.o. In the reorganization process of the factory in Ruše the company gained independence on 1 January 1990 and continued as an independent company Kema Puconci p.o..
1991 - Hard times after the independence. New, independent company KEMA Puconci brought into the new founded state Slovenia a bad package. Market circumstances at that time were influenced by inflation, fall of the Yugoslav market and a mainly an unstable home market. In those years most of the efforts were put in development and to extremely widen the production programme. So it was made it possible for Kema to be positioned on the market as a serious offerer. It was a very hard way because the company wasn’t specially recognized by the side of building materials. Key actors at that time were employees which were willing to follow the idea of the leading people and which with sacrificing work made it possible that the company survived.
1992-1993 - Developing of a new activity. In the years of 1992 and 1993 we slowly started to develop a new activity that was small retail of building materials. In the next years this activity has started a distinctive development. A lot of effort was put in renewal of the sale over the borders of the new country. Because the market of former Yugoslavia practically was not existing anymore it was time to find other customers. First successes were showed in Germany and France. On the base of recognition that our products had enough quality the sale expanded to the states like Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Belarus and Russia.
1995 - Breakthrough on the market of former Yugoslavia. In this year the markets of former Yugoslavia started to open by separate new formed states, the demands for our products slowly but surely were growing.
1997 - Investments into environment. Up to year 1997 we invested most of all into protection of environment and in partial increase of producing capacity in house of mixing building materials. So in Kema we brought in the closed system of cleaning the waste water.
1998 - Registration at the District Court. As public limited company KEMA Puconci was entered into the register of the Murska Sobota District Court on 18 February 1998.
2002 - New drying house. Settled and gave to work was the new drying house that essential increased the capacity and quality of drying the sand.
2004 - New house of mixing building materials. More years lasting process of Kema׳s production was completed with finishing of the new house of mixing building materials. That assured by increased request an undisturbed supply of home and foreign market.
2005 - KEMA Puconci d.d. and Salonit Anhovo d.d. united. KEMA Puconci d.d. and Salonit Anhovo d.d. have been a long year business partners that in year 2005 strengthened their cooperation. The joining contributed to a much better use of competitive preferences of united companies and the central company. That brought a transfer of good practice from the area of knowledge, financial and information sources, use of synergies in the development segment, primary for the common policy of the current material and energy supply.
2006 - Kema successfully completed the investment cycle. Kema successfully completed an investment cycle that lasted for 10 years and in which estimated 10 million € were invested. Part of the cycles presents the new administration building that offers great conditions for work and has the size of 1.000 square meters. Kema is nearby the increasing of capacities planning the expansive selling and development politics.
KEMA Puconci, Public Limited Company was re-informed to KEMA Puconci, Limited Liability Company.
2007- Accelerated breakthrough abroad. At the beginning of the year we successfully ended the building of new laboratory that makes it possible to accompany inputs and to control the products, at the same time we given new capacities to our development department. With the intention to increase the sales capacities Kema is strongly directing towards foreign markets. Together Kema has seven subsidiaries, in the future it is planned to establish companies in new states.
